THE BOOK OF RESIGNATION

To Whom It May Concern

I am tendering my resignation as Business Analyst in the Strongest Earth Soldier Department.

I have demonstrated my capacity and dedication to the position, but it is with a heavy heart that I must choose better work-life balance.

It has been my deepest honor being chosen, but for reasons I will be enumerating, I must now choose myself and my mental health.

I pray this reaches You or the Executive Suite. I have struggled to find the correct distribution list and appropriate names—God, Jesus, Son of God, Son of Man, Jehovah, Most High, Yahweh, Monad, Source, Christ, Cristos—were all I could find in the directory and are Bcc’d. Please forgive the salutation addressed to “To Whom It May Concern.”

I did try to book a conference room to express this in a meeting, but after inventorying all the stakeholders who might be involved, there was not a conference room large enough to accommodate.

One of my reasons for leaving is that during the course of my career here, I have frequently been required to take on more and more responsibilities in addition to an already challenging role.

As of the past six months, I have found the role of project manager added to these responsibilities. Before I exit, I will recap the minutes from our last corporate readout, last Monday. I recall that the Executive Team’s admin did accept the calendar invite, but I’m not sure any of the team was able to attend.

Earth Project Meeting Minutes:

We’re losing 33% of people to incarnation attrition because of hostile work and living conditions. Those who remain complain of low morale and poor middle-management leadership and direction.

The resource construct of time in this dimension is absolutely demoralizing. It always seems to run out, despite documented surplus. The occasions where it appears to be at a standstill due to trauma are 300% more frequent than it being spent well in enjoyment.

And for money and payroll, we ran out of money 12 shutdowns ago. People are borrowing from credit for a future of promised-land retirement benefits and debt forgiveness. We have lost track of who is accurately and actually invested in those packages. They have simply been promised to everyone who has accepted the company employee handbook, irrespective of performance review feedback or tenure.

We have dedicated much of engineering to just keeping the lights on. All bushels have been overhauled and hilltops have been installed. The tech debt from this has resulted in the creation of a new department colloquially called The Way.

Planks have also been removed from eyes insofar as the wellness benefits expos were able to accommodate. Open enrollment continues throughout Libra Season.

Now, with all that said—as this is my resignation letter—I will address some personal and also anonymous grievances I have gathered in lieu of an exit interview. Please note that I fully understand the following may render me disqualified for rehire.

I am severely underpaid. It has become untenable. Twice in the past four months, we have been required to work forty consecutive days and nights without time off, overtime pay, or a salary bonus ever being offered or even discussed.

And personally, my code switcher is failing and causing me to pause, because “Heavenly Father” is starting to come out like “Deadbeat Dad.”

The above feedback is solely my own. I have read how the Higher Ups handle disrespect, and I do not wish for the remaining team to be inundated with a flood of emails—or rain.

Nor do I wish for a massive firing—as has been a rumored escalation.

I’m not afraid to say this job is for Job.

Last quarter’s earnings finally made it into the black because of my talents, which I never squandered—unlike my role’s predecessors—and I was not given so much as a WWJD bracelet or even a company pen.

And as a Black Woman, I can share that all the women at the well water cooler should be treated with more respect, nursing rooms, and paid family leave to the longest term possible, with their jobs protected. They also deserve additional hazard pay and PTO because men who violate all the HR standards keep being promoted into leadership over them.

And speaking of dubious promotion criteria, nepotism appears to be rampant here. Correction of this begins at the top. To this day, every new-hire class struggles to differentiate whether the Father or His Son is in charge of the company, and this repeatedly sparks wholly spirited debates.

Hell, I could go on, but honestly, if you are disinterested in listening to the least of these complaints or people, I would be left to assume your leadership of this matrix organization is Demiurgic at best.

If you are open to my opinion, your best and most solvent bet is to retire much of the Executive Suite, yourself, and then promote Emmanuel to the CEO position. He has at least been God with us. And for that, and Him, we are eternally grateful.

Regards,

Solara’el
